Aluminium tilt and slide doors

High-quality sliding door with tilting function

Our aluminium systems

In modern residential buildings, a tilt and slide door is a popular option when choosing a patio or balcony door. It consists of at least 2 individually framed sashes, one fixed and one movable. Frames made of timber or plastic are very popular. But also tilt and slide doors made of aluminium are now extremely popular for both private and commercial buildings, and that for a good reason. In addition to excellent safety, they promise an enormous durability and are extremely easy to clean. In contrast to lift and slide doors and balcony doors with a conventional turning function, tilt and slide doors also offer the possibility of a practical tilting position of the movable sash.

Classical, modern - multifaceted

With an aluminium tilt and slide door, you have a number of options for individual design. In addition to the number, sliding direction and size of the sashes, you also are completely free when choosing the glazing. There are also hardly any limits with regard to purely optical aspects.

No matter for which occasion: construction or renovation, private or public real estate. Due to the high degree of changeability and timelessness of aluminium tilt and slide doors, they are suitable for every architectural style and building purpose and fit seamlessly into the overall picture. This is reinforced by the fact that tilt and slide doors are the only option if your sliding doors should have the same profiles as your windows and balcony doors.

You can choose from various colours in the RAL palette for both the outside and the inside of your door, e.g. to match your windows, or in another colour as a visual highlight. The RAL colour for the exterior sash can also differ from the interior chosen RAL colour. For example, a realistic-looking timber decor can be applied for a homely and cosy look. If you don’t want to dispense the real timber feeling in your house, maybe a timber-aluminium door would fit better for you.

Opening, closing, tilting - the possibilities of a tilt and slide door

The function of a tilt and slide door can be explained as follows: The movable sash is guided in its own rail and can be moved without much effort due to the special construction. When the door is closed, the handle remains in a vertical position. By positioning the handle horizontally, the door sash is first moved into the tilt position due to special fittings. The door gets tilted inwards. For a complete opening, the handle must now be moved 90° in the same direction again. In this way, the moving sash can be moved into a parallel position to the fixed one

and then pushed to the side, allowing free access to the balcony or terrace. A tilt and slide door is the perfect choice for you if you don't want to miss the ventilation of the tilting function. It should be noted, however, that this type of door is only feasible up to certain dimensions, as the movable, tiltable element must not exceed a certain weight. If complete accessibility is desired, an alternative opening mechanism should be selected, e.g. a lift and slide or a folding and sliding door.

Experience the advantages of aluminium

Windows and sliding doors made of aluminium offer some excellent properties that justify the extra price compared to products made of other materials such as PVC or PVC-aluminium. Thanks to the high dimensional stability and strength of the material, a high level of protection against burglary is inherently guaranteed. Optionally, security can be further increased, e.g. by using special types of glass. Greater sound insulation can also be achieved by using noise reducing glazing. Compared to timber or PVC, aluminium as a light metal is thermally more conductive than other materials and therefor has poorer insulation properties. However, through intensive research and continuous optimisation, our manufacturers Reynaers and Schüco have developed new types of aluminium profiles which compensate for the low thermal insulation of the material.

Using modern insulation techniques, excellent U-values can thus be achieved, which, depending on the glass used, even makes the profiles suitable for passive house construction.

In addition, with windows and doors made of aluminium you benefit from the following advantages:

  • Minimum maintenance effort
  • No distortion (even with large temperature fluctuations)
  • Long-lasting products

We at Neuffer offer you a choice of 4 high-quality aluminium profiles from the manufacturers Reynaers and Schüco for tilt and slide doors

Reynaers CS 77

With a tilt and slide door in the CS 77 profile from the manufacturer Reynaers you are choosing a product that meets even the highest demands. The thermally separated system with an installation depth of 77 mm meets above-average requirements for building security with its fire resistance and bullet resistance. The CS 77 also scores in terms of thermal insulation with its multi-chamber polyamide hollow webs reinforced with glass fibre.

Depending on the sash and frame combination and filling thickness, it achieves a Uf-value of up to 1.2 W/m2K and has been awarded the Minergie certificate. There is also the possibility of triple glazing, which contributes to the excellent U-value of the door.

Schüco AWS 75.SI+

This highly thermally insulated system has a construction depth of 75 mm and achieves a Uf-value of 1.2 W/m2K in the standard version. If the optimised version is chosen, innovative insulation materials even help to achieve a Uf-value of 1.1 W/m2K. The AWS 75.SI+ is available in the design variants Residential Line and Soft Line and allows the implementation of large door elements.

Thus, the thermally separated CS 68 adapts optimally to any architectural style. All variants are also optionally available as highly insulating versions. With this system you will get the best value for money.
